Our mission is to provide an exceptional, community-based preschool within a nurturing environment that fosters each child’s intellectual and social-emotional development.
We are a creative, play-based community preschool where children have the opportunity to learn through an environment that lays the foundation for future education. We promote peer-teacher-student relationships that develop children’s self-esteem and self awareness. Teachers encourage children to explore their environment through various sensory stations and enrichment programs which promote child-directed learning at a pace that meets each child’s needs.
The MLCA preschool is a parent-run cooperative and we ask for parents to get involved by volunteering in class and through small administrative or operational roles.
Set in the heart of the vibrant Marda Loop, our bright and cheerful preschool is positioned opposite the community centre, playground, ice-rink, library, fire hall, and community gardens.
