Volunteer Opportunities
Is 2009 going to be your year to get involved in this community?
The SCCA has many different volunteer positions available, all of which provide a great opportunity to meet new friends in the community and gain valuable experience. Show your community colours by joining the ‘Team Green’ volunteers, and we will match you with a role that best suits your interests AND your schedule.
Do any of these positions have YOUR name on them? Or perhaps you and a friend or spouse would like to tackle one together?
2009 Indulge Committee
Work alongside the current chair of the Indulge committee and help plan the 4th Annual version of this wildly popular food and wine festival held in May. This year’s goal is to raise $20,000 for community based programs in our area. We’re looking for a keen group who will be willing to ‘take over the reigns’ the following year. Please contact info@southcalgarycommunity.ca or call 403.244.5411 by Jan 31 if you think this sounds like your kind of volunteering!
2009 Scramble Committee
Organizers of the 3rd Annual Scramble membership-appreciation breakfast (tent. Sun, June 22, 2008) also need some new recruits, particularly those who also have an interest in building on the current event and carrying it forward in 2009. Please contact info@southcalgarycommunity.ca or call 403.244.5411 if you feel you’d be an egg-cellent candidate.
Board Positions
Many of our current Directors will be finishing up their 2-year terms in October and we're looking for some new volunteers to join our Board in those positions (voted in at the October AGM).
Treasurer
Director of Fundraising
Director of Traffic
Director of Membership
Director of Pool
If you share an interest in this community and want to contribute to its success, please consider joining our Board. For more info about these positions, please contact info@southcalgarycommunity.ca or call 403.244.5411.

The Directors of Civic Affairs need more devoted volunteers to lend a hand on their committee to help review and respond to development and re-zoning applications. Please email civicaffairs@southcalgarycommity.ca for more info.
Traffic Committee
Traffic is a growing concern in the South Calgary/Altadore area served by the SCCA. If you are interested in becoming involved with the SCCA Traffic Committee to find solutions to our traffic challenges, please contact us via traffic@southcalgarycommunity.ca
