Municipal
Brian Pincott, Alderman
Ward 11 (south of 34th ave)

Brian and his wife, Barbara Kinnie, are passionate about Calgary and our future. They moved here 11 years ago from Nova Scotia, where Brian, a native Quebecer, graduated from Acadia University.

They immediately set out to make this city even better, co-founding the Sierra Club Chinook Chapter, and volunteering with many community organizations.

Brian also found Calgary the perfect place to build his career. It was from this city that he became a nationally renowned and award-winning lighting designer, most recently as production manager with Alberta Theatre Projects.

His combination of professional and personal expertise led him to be one of only 30 Calgarians handpicked by the City to
write a 100-year vision for Calgary, as part of the imagineCalgary roundtable.

Brian and Barb, having recently said good- bye to their 14-year-old German Shepherd, Abbie, are radically renovating a bustling house with two teenage boys, two cats -- and a lush pesticide-free yard.
